I thought I had already posted a review, but now I can't find it. During that time she was surrounded by so many wonderful people who took excellent care of her and always had a kind word for Mom. I am a nurse and very critical of health care facilities. Mom never developed a bedsore or other complications of immobility often seen in nursing homes. They always included her in the daily activities even when she was reluctant.

From day 1 the staff was great, especially the Physical Therapy department. The nurses were very attentive, always making sure to manage my pain control. Whenever I called for pain meds, after giving me my meds they would come back 1/2 hour later to make sure I had some relief.

Although my mother couldn't wait to go home, she told her peers, "Everyone was kind. They couldn't be nicer. And there were birds and a beautiful view." She also appreciates how involved and caring her social worker Wensam is. My family member is very religious, and is very happy that she can receive the Eucharist everyday. She has no complaints, and generally appears to be very satisfied with her care. We are very appreciative of the care she gets, and would recommend St. Cabrini's Nursing Home to anyone.

When I didn't eat because I did not like what was brought to me, I would go to the coffee shop & get whatever I wanted. The fact that the facility had a coffee shop on the premises blew my mind! Obviously I couldn't walk when I first arrived. The aides would answer the call button very quickly.
